AIM Mychron expansion

MyChron Expansion is the channel multiplier that allows you to improve the performance of MyChron5 and MyChron5 2T (as well as MyChron4 and MyChron4 2T) via CAN bus, providing four additional channels and an additional connector for CAN communication.

This connector allows you to connect to the LCU-One system Lambda controller and SmartyCam HD (and also GPS and Data key for MyChron4 systems). Thanks to its specific wiring, MyChron Expansion feeds the system and the associated peripherals with an external battery, avoiding the consumption of the internal ones.

MyChron Expansion has four inputs that allow you to connect as many additional channels to the system. All four are easily configurable as analog to capture data from:

Exhaust gas valve position sensor (particularly important because it allows to understand which RPM value opens the exhaust valve)

Wheel speed sensor. The first input on the left, in fact, can also be configured as a digital channel

Non-contact brake pedal position sensor

Non-contact accelerator pedal position sensor (to understand if and when it is possible to "push" more)

Brake pressure sensor

Water temperature or temperature below the base (only PT100 thermo-resistance sensor)

Steering potentiometer (to highlight under / oversteer situations)

Brake pedal potentiometer

Accelerator pedal potentiometer

Due to its characteristics, therefore, MyChron Expansion can be considered a complete tool that allows, at an affordable price, a professional kart analysis.
