Building on the well-established success of the BUMPER and following the changes in the sporting scenario, BENGIO's technology now evolves to the new AB7 RIB PROTECTOR, the first FIA 8870-2018 homologated BENGIO family rib protector.AB7 RIB PROTECTOR represents the culmination of this evolution through the combination of:

TOTAL BODY SAFETY

The usual side protection is integrated with elements to protect the sternum and back to achieve seamless safety in which the entire chest area finds proper protection and comfort.

Back protector Impact resistance tested to 100 joules

Chest protector Impact resistance tested to 60 joules

Rib protector Impact resistance tested to 100 joules

The FIA standard requires that, during impact, the energy transmitted to the body should not exceed 1kN. Tests of AB7 achieved results that were vastly better than the required standard.

DESIGN AND ERGONOMICS

AB7's trim allows for a better fit to the body throughout. The new shaping of the side shells ensures a better fit when the rider is in the riding position, while the elasticized shoulder straps allow for adaptable adjustment to any build.

FASTENING SYSTEM

Thanks to the new closure system designed and deposited by BENGIO, the rider can put on and adjust the rib protector easily, quickly and securely, guaranteeing the standards required by the FIA and ensuring that the fit of the protector remains stable while riding.

MATERIALS

The use of composite fibers ensures the highest standards of impact resistance and safety even after countless uses. Highly absorbent rubber lining allows for the dispersion of shocks and vibrations to which the chest is inevitably subjected while riding.
