What are the categories in the competition?
Junior (12-14 years old) weight 140 kg
Senior (14+ years) weight 158 kg
Senior Plus (14+ years old) 168 kg
In which category should I race?
T4 Junior is for all riders between 12 and 14 years old
T4 Senior is for all pilots who will reach 14 years of age within the calendar year
T4 Senior plus is for pilots with a weight in race trim of over 90 kg.
In case a pilot weighs 80/82Kg naked, he/she may participate in the Senior Category without any lead requirement.
What is required to participate in T4 Italy races?
ASN (federation approved by FIA) driver license
Karting homologated suit
Karting homologated helmet
How do you register for the race?
To register you must register on the South Garda Karting website at a cost of € 190 (Friday and Thursday tests are not included)

When does registration close?
The official closing is scheduled for May 28, but we ask all drivers to register as early as possible so we can organize a schedule for the event.
Is the cost of testing included in the race registration fee?
The Thursday and Friday test will be paid separately at the track at a cost of 65/70 euros. Event registration will cover the official race, which will take place on Saturday only.
Race Format (Night Race)
On Thursday, drivers will have a minimum of 6 rounds of 10-minute free practice available to them
On Friday, drivers will have a minimum of 6 10-minute free practice sessions.
On Saturday morning there will be 1 Warm-up, qualifying, qualifying heats and the Finals
Qualifying, with a 10-minute duration, will take place on Saturday morning.
The 16-lap final will start after 10 p.m. with the use of artificial lights
I own a T4 Kart, can I use it at the event?
Yes, you can use your own T4 Kart and equipment. You must make sure the equipment is presented as per the T4 Italia event regulations.
Can I rent a kart for the event?
It will be possible to rent a Tillotson T4 through MP Kart or one of the affiliated dealers/teams. You can find all the contacts on the dedicated page.
What day should we arrive at the track?
Friday Testing is recommended although it is not mandatory.
Where should we consider staying?
Desenzano del Garda is a popular destination just 10 minutes from the circuit. There is a wide choice of accommodations that can be found online. You can take advantage of discount codes reserved for South Garda Karting customers on their official website:
What license is required for this event?
Drivers must hold a national karting license, issued by an FIA-approved federation. The license must be appropriate for the age and category in which you are racing i.e. as National Cup regulations.
A specialized Karting medical certificate will be required.

Is fuel included?
Regarding drivers who will participate with their own kart, gasoline is the responsibility of the competitor. A unique gas station will be designated near the circuit for all categories, it will not be possible to use different gasoline.
The expected consumption during the 2 days of competition is around 15 liters
Does Tillotson offer mechanics for the event?
No. Each competitor must have their own helper/mechanic for the event.
Can a local mechanic or helper be arranged?

Does Tillotson provide technical support?
Yes, we will have a support area with a team of Tillotson staff available.
Do we need to bring our own transponders?
Transponders are offered by South Garda Karting as part of the event entry fee and are provided at the event.
Can I change the ratio?
Changing the engine sprocket ( 19T ) will not be allowed during the Italian Cup. Competitors will only be allowed to use the following sprockets: 75 - 76 - 77 - 78 - 79 - 80.
M.P Kart will have the full range available at the price of €10.90 (each). Pre-cut crowns will also be available at a cost of 15/20€ each.
What modifications can be made to the kart?
As per the Tillotson T4 championship rules, the only modifications that can be made to the kart are as follows:
- caster with bushing supplied as standard
- camber with eccentric bushing supplied as standard
- front track width
- rear track width ( not exceeding 1400 mm )
- front chassis height
- rear frame height
- addition of additional seat supports
- crown gear (within the allowed limits)
In case we have an accident and need spare parts, what should we do?
Spare parts will be available for purchase at MP Kart Shop located at the track.
Is the event streamed live?
Yes, the race will be streamed from Saturday morning until the Finals through the Tillotson website, social channels, YouTube and the South Garda Karting feeds.
Is there an on-site restaurant or food stand available?
Yes, there is an on-track restaurant that will be open daily.
Will there be a store to purchase racewear?
Yes, there will be a karting store on site. The store has a full selection of helmets, boots, suits, gloves and other karting-related apparel. Since this is an ACI race you must have a Karting approved suit and helmet.
The starting price for a suit is €169.
The starting price for a helmet is 379€.
Do I have to purchase race tires from the event organizer?
All participants must purchase race tires from the MP Kart shop at the price of €195.00 including VAT instead. Tires will be bar coded and scanned in Parc Fermé, so tires from another region will not be allowed.
What bodyworkscan I use?
As per the Tillotson T4 Italia regulations, both 2024 (506) and the new 2025 (507) fairings can be used. It is not possible to use a combination of fairings.
E.g. KG 507 front spoiler and KG 506 side pods.
Can I use the new DWT magnesium rims?
It will be allowed to be used but it will not be possible to have different material rims on the same kart
